1999 Infiniti I30 electrical problems

My 1999 Infiniti i30 is slowly getting worse . First the blinkers stopped working, the hazards and all lights still work, but the switch won’t work.

Then the radio, clock, and cigarette lighter all went out and stopped working. Also the windshield wipers stopped working.

I need help, what is my problem? They all went out within the last few days.

You need to start by checking your battery's condition and the charging status of your alternator.

With the car running, are any dash lights illuminated?

No dash lights are on, for a while the e-brake light flickered and so did the battery light. Then the blinkers went out. After that a couple days later the windshield wipers, radio, clock, and cigarette lighter stopped working. I had just replaced the alternator like 2 or 3 months ago.

These lights appearing together is the classic indicator of a failing alternator.

I'm thinking that your battery and alternator tests will reveal that your battery is inadequately charged due to a failing alternator.

Thats Crazy, so things will just stop working when the alternator is failing like that?

so the radio, windshield wipers, clock and cigarette lighter are working again.

The blinkers still till Don’t work so do you know what that could be? Because the blinkers don’t work, but the hazards do

A bad hazard flasher switch will do that.

You should take the battery out of the car and have it tested on a bench.

If the battery is broken you'll never be able to figure out if your 3 month alternator is still working correctly or not. And, vice versa.

Once you've baselined the battery: you should observe 14.4V on the alternator pole with the engine running.
