FEELER: 2002 maxima 6 speed black/black

hey guys, im putting up a feeler for my car as it will be for sale. just not yet, for i have a few repairs i intend to complete before i do unless someone wants the car without the repairs done. ANYWAY

fully loaded minus navi and hlsd. so it comes with leather, climate control, heated seats, blose.
mods: hotshot headers, short thro shifter mod, alpine headunit, k and n drop in filter. aftermarket e brake handle.

background: i have had the car for about 2 - 3 years. i am, i believe, the 10th owner of the car. i do not know why there has been so many previous owners, but moving on. i bought the car with about 57k on the odo and it now has 129k.

condition: the car is in okay condition. dent on the passenger side front door from my mom backing into it. lots of blemishes here and there but the paint that isn't blemmed is nice and shiny. pics will come tonight or tomorrow. the interior is in decent shape. a few blems on the leather driver side, but not an eye sore.

the biggest problem on teh car is the oil burning. burns about 15 quarts between oil changes. this wasnt prominent before, but somewhere down the line it just started burning a lot, not sure why. i granny the car too. also a small leak on rear valve cover. clutch is good, brakes are worn out, planning on replacing all 4 rotors and pads before sale. alignment is out of spec, gonna replace some parts and get it aligned. tires in good shape. car currently has a CEL for evap which i am gonna take care of prior to.

im selling the car because i am saving up for another car, so this one has to go.

$3500

pics to come soon, i just got to upload them to a host site. lmk if i am leaving some information out.

Thats a significant amount of oil. Sure its burning the oil and not leaking?

It is definitely not leaking all that oil. I have a slight hunch it may have something to do with the 9 previous owners. My mechanic friend said that he only sees problems on the 6 speed Maximas. It may have something to do with the driving habits of heavy feet. I've driven it from 57k all the way till now, which is 129k. It progressively got worse, but I'm not sure why. I do not rag on the car at all.

It turns out I am currently unable to buy another car, so I cannot sell this car yet. Things haven't solidified yet, but that is the way it is unraveling. It may be between 2 months to a year later that This car will be posted back up. I will post up a new FS thread when it happens. Thanks for the interest.

To whom it may concern, I may have an idea why my car is oil guzzling. The problem began sometime after header installation. I was always meaning to get an AFC to run a good mixture, but never got around to it. I recently had a mechanic that informed me that I was running super rich. I gathered some information and found out that running rich for a long period of time can wear out the rings. I am thinking that maybe the valve seals are leaking.
