FS: 2000 SE 5spd, Black $3000
EDIT: CAR IS SOLD.
For sale: Single owner 2000 Maxima SE, 5spd.
- Black exterior
- Gray leather interior
- All the SE options: Sunroof/moonroof, dual power seats, lumbar, etc
- Eclipse AVN6620 dvd/navigation
- 178k miles
- Oil changed every 5k with Mobil 1
- Premium gas has been used for the car's entire life
- 3M tint to legal limits, and 70% clear tint on windshield to keep out the FL heat
- 100% clean, paint has some of the normal door dings you'd expect for a 13 year old car, but NEVER been in an accident. The 1 time it was in a body shop was for a 5mph parking lot bump that put a dent in the rear bumper.
Within the past 20k miles, I have replaced:
- Springs & struts
- CV axles
- Sway bar links
- Radiator
- Clutch slave cylinder
- Starter
- Belts
- Plugs
- Valve cover gasket
- Brakes
Most of that was normal maintenance, sans the starter and the clutch slave cylinder which was on its way out. I have maintained this car to last another 5+ years, and have NO doubt that it will. But I have had an offer come up on another car that I can't pass on.
The car is bone stock aside from the stereo. I work at a Signature JL dealer here in Tampa and the car is loaded with JL Audio.
The Eclipse AVN6620 deck will come with the car, and the car has more sound deadening than 98% of the maximas you will find, (Metal Maxima being the exception) but the rest is up to the buyer:
- 2 pairs JL Audio ZR650 in all doors
- JL HD600/4 under the driver seat
- JL HD750/1 under the passenger seat
- Alpine Type R 12" in a custom sealed box that is fiberglassed all the way into the back of the trunk, in the smaller area where the pass through goes. 80% of the trunk space is available - this is a family-friendly subwoofer box.
Asking $3000 without the amps/speakers/subs. I will replace the speakers with something less expensive. With all the stereo left in, I would be looking for $3500 - and the stereo is worth WELL MORE than the extra $500. Pretty firm on the prices.
I have plenty of references on this forum, mainly guys who were in the audio forum or in the Central FL maxima group - Metal Maxima, dlfrestyl, Pearl96Max, mendon99, AscendantMax, slickrick, nismos14, filtor1, E55AMG2, studman, and many others.
I will have pics up tomorrow but wanted to get this thread going to see if there's any interest. The best way to reach me is kevinprood (at) gmail (dot) com.

I've uploaded pics to photobucket.
I also broke the rule when posting for sale and have not had the car washed/detailed. The rims are dirty and there are some marks in the leather. Those will all come out for the buyer.
The two blemishes you will see in the pics that won't come out:
1. The tip of the muffler is dented. It was backed into by the ramp of a low trailer, so the car wasn't damaged except the tip of the muffler being bent.
2. There are two poke holes in the passenger seat near the power seat switches.
That is the worst thing you will find about this car. The leathher is otherwise in great shape and the exterior is as good as can be expected from a well-maintained 13 year old car. I drive it every day and have maintained it to last FOREVER because I can't afford to have an unreliable car.
I'm located outside of Tampa FL.

P.S. You will notice in the trunk pic that the trunk is all carpeted. I have dynamat on the entire trunk, but then carpeted (with automotive/speaker box carpet) on top of it so that the dynamat is completely covered. I also built a cover for the spare tire that uses the factory bolt - this was all because as anyone knows, the 5th gen trunk floor sags and I did all that in preparation for building the custom subwoofer box.
