Need more people for the track event.. want to do 1/2 day for $90?

I just got off the phone with JAck and there's a whole 15 people (total) going to this event.. that's roughly 1/3 of what he needs to meet cost for the day.

He's agreed to let some people run a 1/2 day for $90, which will be up to two hours of track time..

so for those of you who said $180 is too much but you'll pay $100, here ya go!
you STILL get more track time in an afternoon for less than most places charge.

I'd love to see more than THREE maximas out there!

I'm still in for the full day. My son is coming along and Jack said for an additional $30 ($210 total) there could be 2 drivers for the same car, providing they were in the same experience group.

This is kind of a dispointment. I wish we had some more people, oh well more track for the rest of us. But from the looks of it theres only gonna be 3 Maximas ??? Me, Matt, and Bluesbrekr... It will be the battle of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th gens.

If people are worried about wrecking their cars they can always rent the track Miatas they have there.

Man, don't say that about wrecking the Max.

Rent a Miata? For real? That sounds interesting.......

Do you know the cost?

Err, it's like $250 a day I think to rent a Miata.
they're basically stock Miatas with a roll cage and performance tires.. your Maxima is faster (and safer in an accident, IMO). the only difference is if you total the Miata, you wash your hands and walk away.. If you totla the Max, you call your insurance company.

this *should* be covered under insurance, as it's considered a Driver Education event. there will be instructors there, and the event is not timed. thus it is not a 'race'. It is driving instruction on a closed course at high speed.

Those Miatas are pricey. I think they run over a grand for the weekend. Some of the guys at conecrazy.org would know better.

Last time I went, there was plenty of runoff space. The only thing holding me back is my current Maxima lacks what my other had, including upgraded brakes, wheels, tire, alignment suspension mods + subframe connectors.

$90 is a bargain! Its the most fun I've had driving.

I believe you need to be 18. My son is coming with me (he's 18) and we will share the track time in my Max. Both of us have received our registration confirmations.

Kev, if you mean to just drive, I think it's 18 minimum...
if you want to rent a Miata, it may be the same, but I'm not sure.. call the track and find out if you're interested in that...

Ran into a guy last week at the alignment shop... I mentioned I was headed out to the track this weekend (june 4-5) and he said he was coming out friday but hadn't signed up yet.. "Really?"
"Yeah.. Jack's got this full track day planned.. supposed to be pretty freaking awesome all the track time we get."
he's bringing about 3-4 of his friends as well.. none of them have signed up yet on the entry list, so there's another 5 people we're not counting on the roster.

So then they roll his car into the alignment bay... ****!! a freakin Z07!!
yeah, this weekend will be fun!
