Thursday Night Dinner in College Station!

OK. I know that there are several of you who plan on being in College Station on Thursday night so you can have a good nights sleep before track day on Friday. I was just wondering who all would be in town Thursday night in College Station. I have already been in contact with some of you and there seems to be a good cencensus on meeting up for dinner Thursday night. I was just wondering who would be up for this. Reply here if you think it's a good idea and put down what kind of food sounds good. I'm thinking around 7:30 or 8PM. Let me know what you guys think.

yeah sounds good to me.. you know I'll be there. I'm up for anything- just nobody get too drunk if they plan on tracking on Friday. the LAST thing you want is to be hungover and dehydrated on a day like this!

I was there over the weekend, and the days were low 90s for temp and the only shade is in the paddock area. if you're hungover and dehydrated, it's going to be a VERY bad day for you.

7:30 sounds okay.. I'll try to get there before that and possibly drop my trailer off at the track before I get there.

I just want to get out of Houston before the 5:00 traffic hits.. the NW side of town that I have to drive through is one of the worst in town.

You know me. If you're coming up my way, swing by the house and I'll cruise out there with ya.

I hope to be checked into the hotel in Garland before dinner. How far away is this from there? If it's too far I won't be able to meet you guys, i'll be tired of driving by then (1025 miles).

It's almost 11pm here and I hope to be on the road by 3am. I can't friggen make myself go to sleep.

Ummm Matt(SR20), I guess the SE crew can eat in the Dallas area, unless you wanna drive another 3 hours.

Dude, you are going to be burnt. I ended up going to the track on no rest, and was sleeping in my car between lapping sessions in Texas heat = not fun.

I know Cattman and others are going for Sushi on Thursday in the Garland area. You should try to meet up with them.

It's 3am and I'm 'bout to burn up the road. See you guys there!

I think I managed a few hours of sleep. Although I almost feel like I didn't sleep at all because I'm wide awake. My emergency stash of Red Bulls will probably get used along the way.

I'll be rolling in sometime early thurs evening as well..
look for the red 3rd gen pulling a UHaul!

David, I'll give you a call when I get to around Navasota or something.. IIRC that's about 20 minutes out from CS.

I'm hoping Jack will let me drop off the Uhaul at the track the night before so I don't have to chain it to the hotel overnight.

I'll probably be needing large doses of caffiene and adrenaline by this time tomorrow.
waiting on fed ex to deliver some differential bearings to finish a customer's tranny.. hoping to have that done tonight, then I get to drive 100+ miles tomorrow and pick up a Uhaul trailer..

Yes. we're probably gonna meet up at the hotel there and drive out to grab a bite. We'll wait til Tom and Matt get in, and I'll leave Huntsville here when they call me. See you tonight.

I'm going to head out in a few minutes, after I get done printing all my paperwork out.

I'll be in CS around 5:30-6 I'm hoping.

David's got my cell, and I'll call him when I get close.
If you guys hear a loud *** car with squeaky brakes drive up at the hotel, come outside and flag me down. (I've already got my track tires and brakes mounted, so they're pretty noisy!)
