I was just talking to my Son Jim about this today. He thinks we should go together and he is going to try and borrow a pickup and bring the car on a trailer, then I won't have to worry about breaking and not being able to drive home.

I hate going that far (10 hrs) and not trying to do my best, but I don't want to break something and not be able to make it back without spending a bundle.

Anyway we are thinking seriously about coming down. I would like to drive the car down like I usually do to other races but I don't want to come and run slow just because I am afraid of not being able to make it home. Unfortunately AAA won't tow that far.

PLEEASE come down it would make the meet complete having the fastest maxima in the world there.. I'd suggest trailering it because you never know what may happen.

That would be GREAT if you could make it. Please let me know if there is anything the MAXUS committee can do to help out.

it's actually not that bad lol, once you get past the first 2 1/2 hours, you get more patient instead of bored..especially if you got some good CDs to listen to.

I had to drive 7+ hours to come home last week...

The events will start Friday night about 7m. To race will be 30. and to spectate 15. We are working on a dyno price now but it will be cheap!!! I guarantee it. Oh and their will be prizes for the best Dynos in classes!!!! The website will be updated on a regular basis keep checking for new events and other things. Start making your hotel reservations, it will be worth the drive!

did anyone know, Transformers 2 comes out that weekend also. wouldnt it be cool to see it with a bunch of your maxima buddies

Hmm, I'd like to make it out one of these years... not sure I'll be able to get the car driveable in time for this year's though. I've got so many demands on my time and finances right now it's very difficult to do anything with the car... sigh...

Fly in, in years past alot of people fly in just to enjoy the festivities. We have 3 airports fairly close by.

I'll be attending this as long as there is a drag strip event. I'd pass off the expense as a trip to the track lol

I'm from Chicago and might be making the trek out there this June even though I no longer own my Maxima anymore. Maybe the guys from Chicago and anyone along the way out there we can get a caravan going to DC/Maryland. I want this to be bigger than Chicago and especially Dallas as well.
