Also MAXUS09 is not only being publicized on this Org, but NYCMaximas, 6thgenMaximas, and a lot of other forums. Many former Maxima owners who are also still members of this Org have asked the same question. Once they say yes to you or your friends then others will demand the same. The good news is that after 2pm, the track is open to everyone at MIR so yes your friends or you have an opportunity to run the track. Again this is my opinion and I don't make any of the decisions so I'll wait for Aaron to answer your question directly.
The track is not open to everyone after 2pm. Not sure where you got that information from.

The event at Maryland International Raceway will be going on all day with the Drag Showdown happening in the morning until the early afternoon. We have other events happening as well that will be going on all day though, such as the Car Show and Dyno Shootout.

We are trying to add other events, but until we have details set in stone, please do not post about them.

When we have more information set in stone, it will be posted on www.maxus09.com. Once they are on the website, then you may post about them.

Thanks for the clarification, only solidifies my original point, again thats why I stated refer to the Maxus09 web site for info...

How about I just make up and print out 500 mods sheets and leave them at the front booth for everyone to use. I will get there early.

You mean for the Car Show? 500 may be a tad much. But, we can have a small stack of 50-100 empty mods sheets for those that became unprepared for the car show. Also, I do not see anything to do with a "Mods List" anywhere in the judging criteria. But, anything to win the judges favor couldn't hurt. Most people will have a laminated or framed Mods List though.

The NWP Engineering MD Maxima Meet appears in Nissan Sport Magazine!

The NWP Engineering Maxima Meet in Maryland this past Fall makes the Winter 09 issue of Nissan Sport Magazine!

With the permission from the Managing Editor at the magazine, here is the article:

Nissan Sport Magazine is an official sponsor of MAXUS 09 and if you already don't subscribe to their magazine, I HIGHLY recommend that you do. You are missing out on a lot of Nissan news and information that you simply won't find anywhere on the internet.

They have agreed to help us promote MAXUS 09 by announcing event information in their Spring issue as well as recapping the event in an article, which should appear in their Summer issue.

The Maxima community is starting to get really noticed by Nissan Sport. So, please show them your support by subscribing to their magazine.

aaron the track is open to everyone after 2 for bracket racing. They are just letting us continue our event there until 8. however if we want to enter the bracket races, we can do that as well

Ok. But the ET brackets is a completely different event. Would those that want to race in that event have to pay that driver entry fee even though they have been racing there all day?

I was under the impression that our track agreement with MIR was until 2pm. Then we would need to wrap things up and make way for their ET Brackets.

In OHIO? Not a chance.
Most likely 65mph where you'll be driving through.

There are no highways in the US without a speed limit. Up until 99, Montana had no speed limit on their highways. But that changed.

So is there any interest in meeting up earlier in the week for a road course event? If everything works out with my car I'm heading down to NJMP on Sunday and running a two day event with SCDA Monday and Tuesday.

Also what else is there to do in the area? Because I will have to kill two days before Maxus.

We are working on coming up with a few cool night attractions or famous restaurants in Washington DC to post on the official website. But if anybody from the DC area has any suggestions, please feel free to post.

I know Indiana is 70mph but i think that's about it with awesome speed limits... when you drive thru some parts of il it goes down to 55mph and supposedly if you happen to drive by downtown chicago on the highway, last time i checked, it's posted 45 mph.... not too many people follow that tho...

I know there are quite of a few Maxima.org members coming from the Boston area. I would post a thread in the Northeast section. Or if you find a thread that's already been started, just post there.

Not only that, but OH & PA state troopers are supposedly notorious for setting up speed traps, writing tickets, etc.
I've never been caught in any of those states, not that anyone should be speeding anyway.

I would like to do something at a road course before the weekend as well. I can contact the guy at Summit Point and see if they are open during the week.

kkozy1982, Is it possible to get things rolling now? We are only a few months away from MAXUS 09.

I know the Southeast thread is turning into a chat room, but the original poster should edit his first post to inform people of the definite meeting points.

Is it suppose to be a famous restaurant or a local favorite?

I would like to add a few great points of interest on the website. Like famous restaurants or clubs.
