Hit up NYCMaximas.org and maybe you can hook up with them, they have a day and a night caravan rolling down.

Yeah. My 3.5 swap progress thread is in my sig.

I doubt I will be spraying at the MAXUS 09 Drag Showdown. But, I am planning on being a contender in the NA Unlimited Class. That's what I've been working on all winter.

so just to re-cap whats going on with me.

just like the last maxus i went to a few yrs back im going to be just returning from europe i think right before this event so most likely i would be showing up friday evening late.

i no longer have a max, well i have it but i havent driven it since feb and plan to either sell it or part it out by the time i leave for sweden.

is there still the discount for the hotel? or was there even a discount for the hotel?

also and i think most importantly, what about people who dont own nor plan on bringing a maxims down there? would i be just watching whats gonna happen all weekend from the sidelines or would i be able to do some of the vehicle based events that are going to happen?

Yes, everyone is invited to MAXUS 09 regardless of vehicle. But if you do not have a Maxima, then you may only be able to participate in the Drag Showdown in the normal Grudge Racing class or the Nissan non-Maxima class. And feel free to come to the BBQ Meet on Sunday at the park.

Please visit the official website of MAXUS 09. It shows all the details you need to know about specific event information and discounted hotel rates. Yes, the negotiated rate for the Waldorf Holiday Inn is still in effect.

hey, so yeah... i put off getting a hotel room wayyyyy too much, and i talked to the hotel, and the block that maxus had blocked off is all booked, and the regular prices are pretty high....

soooo what i was wondering was... would anyone want to cut their hotel costs down by roughly 50%? hector and i from chicago will be traveling out there, and if someone wants to allow us to sleep in their room, we will split the costs, and it save EVERYONE money hector and i dont mind sleeping on the floor either, we will bring sleeping bags...

and according to the maxus website, each room is allowed up to 5 adults. So if anyone is willing to allow hector and i crash in their rooms, PLEASE PM ME!! thanks!

Corey just contacted the hotel. He is the man in charge of the negotiated rate contract with the Holiday Inn.

To anybody that was not able to get a hotel room at the $84 rate:
Please call the hotel back and reserve your room regardless of the rate. Post your full name in this thread. And on Monday, Corey will talk to the hotel coordinator and will have your rate changed to the $84/night.

We hope to have all this sorted out on Monday and can free up some extra rooms for everybody at the $84/night rate. Hopefully, there are more rooms available for us to get even more MAXUS attendees staying here!

Aaron is it ok to invite the Z guys to the drag showdown since we have those 2 all nissan classes. I'm sure I could get a couple of GTR's to come out also.

We are not going to openly invite any other forum that isn't already a MAXUS 09 sponsor. Not at this time. But we have already extended a formal invitation for a local GTR group.

If you know of any friends with Nissans, tell them they are invited to attend, especially the GTR guys! But please do not post invitations on any other forums that aren't already listed as a sponsor here:

http://www.maxus09.com/sponsors.html

I would like to see some single digit Zs or Skylines racing in the all Nissan classes. So if you know of any, please let us know.

Thanks.

I just tried to call in and book the room at the Holiday Inn, and the guy told me that the "block" was full, meaning no rooms available... but he also said something about being able to call someone and have more rooms added onto the block... anyone know what that means? ..or what I can do about getting a room?

We are working on that right now. I apologize for the delay everybody. I hope we will be able to clear up some more rooms ASAP.

That could be fun... but I was also thinking like hangin out and drinking beer with all the guys in the parking lot with the cars... are there strict rules against that type of thing? As long as no ones driving drunk obviously

Like gettin a little wild at night... ya know. This is my only weekend off from work for a long time... I'm tryin to have some freakin fun. Like hang out and do events during the day and then party at night. Anyone down for something like that?

Just an FYI, talking on cell phones while driving and radar detectors are banned in DC!
