Yes, you should bring it! Its a good time for Maxima enthusiasts of all levels.. whether you are highly modified, or just starting on yours! Its fun, and a great time to check out other peoples ride, get ideas, make friends in the community, etc.

Don't worry about it. As long as you keep it clean and stylish and take pride in what you've done, you'll be fine. Not everyone on this forum has custom paintjob, carbon fiber everything, lightweight racing wheels, and a turbocharger. Most of us just have mild modifications like you do.

Also, paint your center caps. It will look much nicer.

Personally, I'd be more drawn to the well-maintained stocker than the riced-up custom job. There's a respectable dignity that gets lost in carbon fiber and metallic flake.

i checked out Island Dragway's website. Its in Great Meadows, NJ and according to their schedule on their website Nissan Maxus is on for June 26th. Im looking for details as to where the other events will be because if i can book a hotel outside of NYC I could save a bunch.

It would be great to have the info drop, cuz yer right.. hotels are probably cheaper in Jerz! But how can you call it Maxus in NYC if it's in another state.

NYC is a city. There are no race tracks in NYC, and afaik not any in Long Island or Westchester, just further north.

Why do the NY Jets and Giants play in NJ?

There's not enough land in NYC to build a race track, it would be too expensive.

So the race tracks are in North Jersey, a few miles outside of NYC.

Thanks for the breakdown, although I understand how that works! Are we having a cruise through NYC, as discussed last year?

As a semi-frequent vistor of NYC I'd have to see a cruise would be pretty interesting knowing that traffic... would be a damn cool site... either through tunnel or bridge, that would be pretty cool seeing all those cars in various lanes...

yeah. at maxus 09 there was a G35, a M35, an altima SER, a FX35, an Escalade, a 240sx, and even a 1960s muscle car.

probably won't be able to compete in the show, but iirc the non-maxima cars were still able to race and dyno.

The issue I see with a NYC cruise is that the track is like an hour out from NYC, and there's a $8 toll to get into NYC.

I would like for there to be a scenic cruise like that one on Sunday morning last year. And maybe a cruise at dusk on Saturday?

Last year, racing ended around 4pm. Went back, checked into the hotel, had dinner, and just chilled in the parking lot for a couple of hours.
