That car looks really nice. I like TL-S better though. But that car is modded perfectly.

So, you're not into my Maxima or just Maxima's in general? East coast style thing? WTF are you talking about?

To have a "dish" like you want, the whole face of the wheel needs to be sunken in, and that would be a true dish. No part of the wheel should come out too far.
Yeah, how many white Maxima's have you seen with Mods? Do you know anything about wheels? They build wheels to "curve" inward like you say because the offsets dictate that is needed if you're also designing a wheel with a lip. 95% of your posts on this forum have been negative, so once I see you say something constructive or benefical, I'll act like I care.

I like nicely modded maximas in general, and wasn't bashing yours just for being stock. I even gave props for the work you guys did on the Maxima and CL.
I've seen a lot of maximas with mods. Quite a few people have posted pics. And yes, i do know a lot about wheels. The ones with spokes inward is just for the appearance of having a large "lip." A quality wheel with a low disk, even if high offset, can have a good amount of lip. The entire face of the wheel is recessed, and they're usually made for the rear since brake clearance would be limited.
And btw, i do try to keep all the comments constructive. Perhaps people only want to hear that their car is the coolest on earth, even if it's totally the opposite. Just opinions though, so it's all good. Keep up the great work on your car!

that car is looking sick....usually I dont like chrome rims but they look good, especially with the color of the car.

BTW, are those the same rims that are on the new SRT Grand Cherokee?

my impressions:

tim, your car looks great, as always.

your buddys...eh...

- I still hate chrome wheels, and that design would look better in gunmetal...

- Engine bay looks really nice

- I like the Thermal exhaust better than the other.....the new ones look like twin bazooka launchers...a bit of overkill IMO.

- that license plate looks like a way of attracting the wrong attention. Does your buddy road race?

Road racing = on a real racetrack 'road course'

Street racing = ricers dragging on public roads...

I wasn't too crazy about them when he decided to pick them up either. Just glad he sold them. I've also mentioned to him that I think gunmetal would look better.

With the car having most of the front end components replaced during the repairs, it's basically new again. The painted engine cover adds a bit as well.

The Thermals really began to rust. The new setup doesn't look too bad in person really.

He road races sport bikes. He's been doing so for about 15 years or so. He actually just bought a new R6 race bike a few weeks ago to race this season. I'll be heading to Michigan for a few of those this summer.

Thanks for the comments guys.

i remember seeing his car on I-70 and it looked sweet as hell rollin on those chrome rims. i think a black shiney wheel would look good too and get rid of all the chrome.

wow this thread is kinda old haha

The chrome trim around the grille is stock. All that was added was the mesh insert. He road races bikes and has had this plate for 5 years. Oh, 0 tickets. Also, he doesn't go around "racing" other cars, that's why he has motorcycles.
