Anyway interesting story, if you notice where I stopped I got yelled at for taking pictures basically. The conversation went a little something like this:

"can I help you with something?" (woman in a very bitchy tone of voice)
"no, I'm just taking a few pictures of my car. thanks though."
"well you are on private property and we ask that no one take pictures of the gate" (I had taken one because I like taking pictures, and it was a cool shot) "I noticed you on the security cameras so I came down here to talk to you."
"well that's awfully nice of you, but you see, I didn't see the sign stating that I shouldn't take any pictures of your gate, so I don't understand how I'm in the wrong here?"
"you're on private property"
"well technically, I suppose 2 or 3 of my tires are over the border..."
"3/4 of your car is on private property [she was right], I would be glad to call the hope ranch PD and have them explain it to you"

Somewhere in there I tried to explain that I was a 21 year old college student and had no reason to plan any home invasions or anything, but she seemed pretty adamant in her position, so I wound up telling her to have a good day and taking off. I thought about leaving rubber on the way out, but then I also thought better of it. Technically yeah I was on private property I suppose, but some people have just got to lighten up... it was pretty obvious that I was taking pictures of my freaking car, and I had gotten back in and was about to leave by the time she came up to my window. I won't post the picture that I took of the gate, pretty although it may have been, because I wouldn't want to violate their strict no-gate-picture-posting policy.

Believe me, I've been looking. I just need to be patient, the right price will come with time.

Anyway it gets better, since those pictures were taken my roomate put some boxes on the hood of the car and scratched the hell out of it. I'm pretty pissed.

The car will be washed, clay barred, polished and waxed when I get a padset for my PC and a free saturday. In the meantime I might just see how dirty I can get it. The funny thing is, now that it's not shiny, there are no bird droppings to be found anywhere...
