My new project car.

Well heres some pics of the new project car. Its a 1996 Mazda Millenia S. Has 174k. If you don't know about the cars it has a 2.3l V6 Supercharged. Picked it up dirt cheap. The kid didnt take care of it very well. Had to replace 2 Wheel bearings, sway bar end link, rear brakes, spark plugs, and a upper ball joint and i still half to replace the radiator. Anyway heres some pics let me know what you think.

Good luck. There isn't any aftermarket for those cars. Looks good though.

No aftermarket? Wow no creativity/enginuity, if someone doesn't make the part and label it for the car you wouldn't know what to do. There is plenty that can be done to this car and any car for that matter.

Nice pick up. Have fun with it, they were something I looked at some time back before the maxima.

Good pick up. One of my friends had one of those in high school. We put some 18" Konig monsoons on the car and pimped it. Back in 97/98 18"'s were the ****.

Right now it pushes 12psi and thats with messed up coils. I got a radiator today but its defective so i should be getting a new one tomorrow then hopefully i can take it for a real drive rather than around the block lol. I tell you though. The quality of the interior of that car is better than my 2000 Maxima was. Everything is soft to the touch and the whole console is nice not plastic its the same material as the dash. Im highly impressed with this car. It seems the older ones when mazda were makinging them were really well built.

that car was built to compete with lexus/infiniti and other luxury brands but was priced so that the "average working person" could afford it.
My dad picked one up used and it's wicked fast for how old it is.
you will like it.
pedal goes down smile come up.

my brother bought one the same day i bought the max.
he's been having some problems with his tho,
i believe he has a leak in his gas tank (which he was quoted about a grand to replace) and one of the cylinders isn't firing...
he's still working on diagnosing the cause of the problem, but he's strapped for cash.

I didn't mean it like that. Reason I said that was because I was looking at picking one up before I went with the Altima. Before I made the jump I tried doing some research to see just what everyone else was doing to these cars and this came up..

A lot. Then I came to realize that most of the parts on the car were Ford and reliability was probably pretty bad. I also chose to pass because of the fact they only came in automatic in the US. No go.

I'm all for enginuity and being original.

Yea I've seen slot with big rims but the one in your pic is a 2001 that's when ford got involved with the millenia. I was sitting in a 98 today and well what a difference. My 96 is soooo well built and reliability 174k and it's still running perfect and interior quality.... I've been in audis with similar quality everything is soft not just the top of the dash like my 00 maxima but the whole console and door panels. The early millenias were built so well. My seats have no tears and my car as not treated well at all. And the Bose stereo in this car is way better than the Bose in any maxima I've been in. Yea ok there's no manual option and I love shifting myself but for what I wanted a nice luxiourious car this is it. Honestly it's a hidden gem If you come across a 95-96 millenia sit in it you'll see what I mean ford had no part in this car
