For street supra's Autobanh's is > BL's. Autobanh put down 1400+hp all boost and 1600+ with a 200 shot, it's a full weight car and still has the 6 speed tranny. I don't know his numbers but I'm positive he has the texas mile record now.

@ The Wizard, it was touch and go with owning a Mark III, but since I knew this was my first car, I need something reliable, I was already familiar with Japanese V6s (Honda J's) I figured for my first attempt at being a car geek should be something troublesome but still manageable, which is why I decided to work with the Maxima as my first car. Another deciding factor on why I'm not a Supra owner is because the Supra doesn't have enough foot room for me to heel-toe.

I still doubt I will ever own a Supra after hanging around Nissans so much, but who knows, till I decide what the dream car is I will still attend the supra meet every year....

P.S. this is what you're missin out on....

stroked RB goodies inside.

-Come on Junior, it's not that hard to pop a 2JZ in there... My cousin has already done it... He doesn't have traction yet (he's somewhere near 700hp too) but the car is running fine. Oh no that's not his car in the photo, but that Soarer conversion is quite popular and nothing too crazy... it's easier than dropping a VQ30DET in our cars.

What 1400HP looks like....

+200hp

I wish I had his dyno curve, it was something godlike cause of the TT setup.

But i've been goin since 07, so I have hundreds of pics, I was told to start a thread but I've been lazy, meh....

They are definately very close.
Tommy Banh hit 242.28
Amit Bhakta hit 243.637

Weerasuria Sriyantha hit 246.243 with a 6-speed as well.
Boostlogic is still holding it, according to the Texasmile site at least.

No doubt both companies are producing VERY fast cars and the Autobanh's cars are putting down more power.

But anyways,
You will have plenty of power to play with Wizard, your car is going to be sick... as if it wasnt nice enough as it was.

The guy tuning it is Justin Nenni, the owner of Tuning Concepts here in Austin and tuner for Boost Logic. Their shops are joined together.
Hes the guy who tuned my Max. Very knowledgeable.

That's the curve (@1:00) I was talking about earlier, it looks so stock... just 1400hp more...

Word again. My friend's dad's 650hp Supra seems more than enough as is.

I think I've seen him at the meets being tailed by herds of people, never had the chance/courage to walk up to him, that's still pretty cool that he tuned your max.

I'm pretty sure close to 2000hp has been reached in a Supra, but I stated 1800hp as a conservative number, LOL, as a few guys have done it.

Hi Roger. Supra won't be done nearly in time for the possible Maxima meet coming up on the 17th. I'll be bringing the Max for sure.

I have two MK III's as well as the MKIV at the moment. One is a restoration project (92 black 5spd Turbo) while the other (91 Silver 5spd Turbo) is in good shape and will be built to the hilt sometime down the road.

Justin tuned my Max about 2 years ago as well. I mentioned this in my Dyno thread. Agree on him being very knowledgeable. That was one expensive tune though...

Did Justin dyno tune your Max only? or did he do some street tuning (fine tuning) as well after the dyno tuning? I drove and he street tuned me after he dyno tuned....

Here's the new HKS GT twin turbo kit peaking out of the box

Pic from HKS's website.

The box on the left will be sent out for polishing (plus lots more to come) Shown are turbo housing, valve covers, alternator cover, water neck, belt tensioner
The box on the right are mainly from the turbo kit. They were sent to Jet Hot to be ceramic coated (signature 2000 series)

Here's my Supra's new heart. The mighty HKS 3.4L Stroker kit
Displacement has gone from 3.0L to 3.4L. This stroker kit will pretty much eliminate any turbo lag.

Yeah, just on the dyno.
I told him about my hesitation issues when cruising and going WOT and he took car of it on the dyno. He basicly just cruised on the dyno, and would suddenly go WOT and then make changes. He pretty much got rid of it all, I only experience it slightly now when in third at around 3k but as long as I stay under that or above it its not there at all. Even at 3k in third its only a slight hesitation, nothing like it was before. he told me the Emanage just cannot make changes fast enough to get rid of it 100%.
Im happy with the tune, Im sure the Max would have put down more then the 377 if we had given it more time to cool down but he was running short on time. But hitting 377 back to back mutliple times is suffice to say thats a realistic number Id be seeing on the street given the heatsoak....
And yes, he wasnt cheap

Very nice man...very nice.

Just last year I sold my 3.5SC max and picked up a 93 6spd. I couldn't be happier, over the course of a year I installed a full fuel system, and a complete 67mm single kit.

You're gonna be more than happy when this build is done...trust me

I can NOT believe I didn't see this thread before this.

I can't even express how envious I am. I understand how special these cars are; I've driven a MKIV with a HKS single turbo conversion kit (nothing ridiculous, the guy bought it modded so he was pretty clueless about it) and it was mindblowing. I'll never get that sound out of my head.

That HKS 3.4 kit is gonna be wicked. Please keep us updated with tons of pics.

Congrats again on finally getting your Max tuned with the EU and making some great numbers!!

Do it!! Get one while the economy is down and save yourself thousands. This car is like no other. Once you feel this level of power, there's no going back.

Thanks man.

Most definitely will more pics be posted. It's taking me forever to sort through them all, edit, host on PB etc. Dyno graphs, hopefully a youtube clip with the Dyno pull done with a HD camcorder..the works....are all on the way.

Here's pics of the custom Fuel Pump Hangar (made by TTC) which will allow me to utilize 3 OEM fuel pumps. 3rd pump would mount on the backside of the bracket. For my power goal, I only need 2 pumps. Maybe later if and when I go for 1000hp all boost will I need the additional pump (and 2 more injectors)

New hangar on the left, OEM on the right

Here's the crankcase breather kit I purchased and had SPE install.

Originally, it was supposed to be mounted like a diving board but I had SPE bend the diving board down and side mount it. I think it looks much cleaner this way. Masking tape was there just to protect it while working on it.

Details about the breather kit are as follows...

"Anyone building a high horsepower and/or high boost 2JZ-GTE engine has to consider the effects of crankcase pressure at these levels. With the standard PCV valve, (only 7mm) the engine simply is not able to remove pressure fast enough from the crankcase while under boost. The PHR Race Engine Breather Kit solves this problem, by increasing the venting area by over 200%. By removing crankcase pressure, you increase engine efficiency and therefore increase horsepower.

This kit includes the hand-built aluminum vent tank with proprietary internal baffling, K&N Vent Filter, dual 12AN valve cover suction lines with nickel plated fittings, and 12AN weld-on fittings for the valve covers."
