So after being on the forum for about a month, I noticed a lot of people start a thread here to document the modding of their ride instead of starting a new thread everytime they do something. So I figured I'd do the same. I already have one thread going for my before/after suspension install so sorry for the repeated pics there. Lil background on me and maximas. This is my third 4th gen max. Purchased my first in May 2001. It was a '97 SE pearl white/black leather. Put 17" bars on it, lowered, clears, tint, system. had that car for about 8 years before she got totalled. While owning that one, I purchased a '97 GLE Wine/black leather for the wifee. Put 18" muranos on it, clears, tint,etc. After my white 97 was totalled i bought the wifee a new car and started driving the wine maxima. Then I came across this one and wanted to replace my white one so sold the wine and bought this:

Purchased 1/14/2010 8:00pm



Brought it home and immediatley removed the pinstripe and switched over my muranos from the wine max and the clear corners too since i was about to sell the wine.

then it was time for a little suspension upgrade. ordered Eibach pro kit and koni yellows. waited for parts to come in and then off to Speed Wrench in Lawrenceville, GA (.org members) for the super cheap install

well thats about it for the first month of owning her. I've got some more plans for her but need to get some funds up first. Will post back whenever i do more to her.

 

Love the car man......I would like to pick up a 4th gen up in the next few years!!!!! I used to have an 01 se the same pearl white as your 99.

 

Love the murano's on your car. That tint would definitely not be legal here in KS!

really, im so undecided b/t the wheels. i love the bars, something about those spokes and the center cap covering the lugs. just looks money. but i also like the muranos and the fact that they 18"s

other thing i cant decide is if i wanna put a sunroof deflector on the new one, had it on the old one and thinked it looked good, but also kind of feeling the slick roof line without it..any thoughts?

 

and notice the old school red/clears, purchased on ebay. about to do my stockers myself so they clear goes all the way to edge..

 

If you put the deflector on plan on it being there a long time. I put one on my old 99. Had it on there for a week and took it off just to wax the roof. It left a mark that wouldnt come off no matter what I used. For some reason I never got rid of it. Its sitting on a shelf in my garage.

I like those tails. I miss being able to mod mine. This damned I30 has that long piece covering the length of the trunk lid.

Nope. Just some blue colored lowering springs. The ride quality is horrible, but it gets me low-ish (would like to go lower but will have to wait on funds). Stay away from Sprint springs if you dont want your *** to be numb every time you drive.

So youre going to mod your stock tails? I dont think Ive seen the ebay ones. Do they not have the side reflector/light?

 

 

correct, newer ebay ones dont go clear all the way across, the reflector at end is red vs old ebay ones did have clear all across

your ridin real low, what suspension set up?

 

i like the white more than my gold...keep it up.. it looks good.. whats the mileage on it???even though it really doesn't matter...15% tint.. that tint is definitely not legal here in RI.. hopefully mines gets done tomorrow..35%all around including the front

White is the best color ever, period!

I wish I could've found a white 5.5 6MT.. Mine is sterling mist, I believe is the color.
