take your time to pick out wheels. theres a lot more out there than the (mostly) typical choices you posted. a lot of people go with them anyway, but just as many end up selling very quick because they get deeper into the style. suspension should be first on your list anyway, so you can pick the proper fitment at whatever ride height you chose.

Exactly, Mike been in the VIP game even longer than I have and I would echo this statement. So many people get a platform car, throw some curtains and a fusa in it, lower it and buy a set of the wheels posted earlier. Then they quickly realize that the scene demands sooo much more and end up selling all that stuff.

As stated, the S chassis stuff swaps in with a few key parts. I am doing this soon as I have everything needed except some LCA's. Just waiting til after the holidays to swap it in. Well, and I keep hoping I will get air to go ove rthe coils before I swap it in since mine is my only car as well....

G/L!

i agree, take your time on choosing wheels and avoid your typical "vip" wheels...

Not really VIP cars. They can be done up to be VIP like, but when parked next to a big body VIP car, they just aren't quite as impressive.

I can't see doing VIP styling on a G coming out as anything but total rice. For the VIP style the OP is going for the Q45 is the perfect car to do it on.

There are plenty of realy nice G35's and 37's done VIP style and quite frankly, there are some that DEFINTITLY are VIP, but it really takes so much more than the average traditional platform car like the Q and the LS etcetc.

Looks like the rears are poking out a fender thats laying on them. For a VW that would be fine...I like tight fitments but man they just don't even fit.

I can see a 7series BMW pulling off the look. And they can be had for surprisingly cheap. Not Q45 cheap but still cheap.

That looks much better, the wheels are still too big imo. I like the wheel completely flush with the fender when air down look myself. Me no likely tuck.lol

I was the same way for a long time but after being in the VIP scene for so long now, sometimes cars just don't seem low unless they tuck in the rear.

This is true for me too. I used to be the one that lived by, "flush or nothing". But after being exposed to so many different styles of this genre of modding cars, i've learned to appreciate the tucked cars too. And now I'm absolutely loving a proper tuck just as much as a flushed as **** ride.
