Quote: speaking of this "quality" cause it seems like a term used loosely in car forums... seeing that this is a place to teach and learn, can you sir please explain in exact details how a company like um... volk makes their wheels and what materials and process it went through to make these "quality" wheels vs its counterpart knock off varrstoen... and can you in detail tell me why the material volk uses is sooo much better to roll around in a circle on asphalt vs varrstoen and what proof do you have of why that material suits asphalt better than the other or whatever reason it is that makes it of sooooo much "quality"...
ehhh its not all about the way it looks. when i see a car poke and streched on xxr's, im like cool. but when i see the same car poke and streched on SSR's im like damn ! respect....... but thats just me, you dont have to take my words so seriously.

as for Rays vs Varrstoen. Rays uses several methods for making wheels and has developed exclusived forging techniques. There is a reason why so many of their wheels cost $1,000 each and their wheel strenght reflects only a fraction of that price.

I use spacers with my Volks..

I bought them used for a good price so I couldn't pick and choose my offsets/widths. To hell with it, my car's looking better than ever.

VMR VB3'S:
(2) 18x8.5 +15 effective (225/40 Federal SS595 with about 50% tread)
(2) 18x9.5 +20 effective (255/40 Toyo T1R with about 40% tread)
(4) 25mm Hubcentric spacer adapter 5114.3 to 5x120 (with 20 lugs)

That's what he ran.

Would it be possible to fit a 18x9 on the front of the 4th gen or is 18x8.5 the widest that can fit under there? I know the rear is a different story.

lmao^ but if u remove a collar/perch/locking ring (whatever u want to call it) from the coilover u can go MOOOAR low or You can replace your shock cartridges with shorter shock cartridges which they (BC Racing) can provide for you no problem. That will allow you to go lower without having to remove lock rings.
