some people figure you should build and not buy, but i'm really thinking if i get a GS300 like i want, i'm going to the forums and hopefully find one that has a decent amount done so i wont have to do anything but drive, keep it clean and maintain it. you can get most modded cars at a good price

Yea but i needed a car while my camaro was getting work done and i was looking for a maxima and this was the best bang for the buck I'd say lol

And yea I agree and feel the same way about buying a modded car versus modding a car because I am a car enthusiast like many other people who take pride in their work and ideas and would want to build their car from scratch, my other car 1995 camaro z28 I bought stock besides a STS, and K&N CAI and built it (still building/modding).
But its not like I bought my Max built I mean yea it had a few mods but nothing that I wasn't already planning on doing. The only major mod I'd say that came with the max that I never had an idea of doing was the 5spd LSD trans (lightweight flywheel, exedy stg 1 clutch, STS) everything else is stock the motor besides a eBay SRI, and a few exterior mods R34's that i planned on buying and later retrofitting, knockoff seats, & clear/smoked tails i wouldnt say this is a built max LOL

i understand the whole quality wheels argument. But in my case, the economics just don't work out for me. Also, I don't personally want to buy rims that cost almost the same, and in some cases more than the car they are being put on.

If I had a high value sports car(porsche gt3, ferrari, lamborghini, etc), I probably would go with the more expensive rims, because what's a couple of thousand for rims, when I payed a lot for the car already. Seeing as though this is not my situation, I will stick with that which is economically feasible for me(meaning none of what you posted above).

I will again reiterate that I have nothing against those who buy expensive rims, it is their money, but I have student loans to pay off, and making a large purchase like that doesn't make sense from a fiscally responsible perspective.

again, the argument wasnt if it fits our budget or not. it was the blatant bashing of higher end product to merely state their opinion

x2 jeezus let that shiet go. like i said before people are going to buy what they want/in their budget (for their car or for whatever they deem worthy) anyway. i respect both sets of wheels, real or fake. as long as it looks good, period
