Good example of what it costs to do a new setup, I spent around half of what you did but half of my parts are used and some were freebies as part of package deals. I'll probably end up spending another 1k in upgrades (intercooler being one and a 3" exhaust) and since some of the freebies were what you would expect out of a freebie, crap

Good progress, looks like you'll be up and running way before me!

I could've went that route. I really want a quality build. To me there's no better feeling than the mail man knocking on the door, receiving boxes full of new parts with manufacturers instruction, information, warranty, stickers. That's just me.

That is about what I ended up spending on my setup with all the modfications you have to make. The intercooler and piping are the next bottlenecks in the setup, so you have everything all planned out. Can't wait for dyno numbers.

Yeah, i have a few plans for the ride. The car will be around for a while, stay tuned. My goal right now is to get the car running with good tune. I'll worry about getting more power down the road. For now, i want it boosting safely.

Did you buy them already? How much did they/are they going to run you? I'm wanting to upgrade to c/o's. We'll see what happens. I also want either another car so I can garage mine or a bike.

Car should be delivered in the next few hours. Just received the slim fans. Has anyone installed slim fans and had them running without a manual switch(turned on and off by driver)and turning on at low and high speeds?

Found this thread, but it didnt really tell if it was successful with a relay or not. Anyone?

Update:
Just received my car back from Tim at Turbo Elements. Tim did a bad *** job! The car is now boosting. Just need to finish the last few details. Couldn't go to sleep without working on it a bit, so i tapped the water lines as you can see in the pictures below.

The 3" intake pipe Tim fabricated.

The 3" downpipe Tim fabricated.

And a view of how the wastegate sits, dumping to the ground.

Small update:

Wired up the wastegate and the blow off valve. Need to replace the rear gasket for the reverse y-pipe, replace/fix the RPM sensor on the transmission, install the slim fans, install the walbro fuel pump and install the fuel pressure riser. I have my hands full for this weekend. Lets see if I can get the car running this weekend. Here are some pictures of the wastegate and blow off valve connected.

Just took the car for the first test drive. Im so impressed. It rides like stock, literally, although I didnt really get on it. Blow off is addicting... Lol. Tomorrow I'll fix the PNP switch, install the slim fans, install the walbro fuel pump, hood and put the hood/bumper back on.

Just got the car running; had a transmission leak from the PNP switch. Ordered a Garrett Boost Gauge through Turbo Elements. Should be here on Friday. Other than that I need to install the injectors, fuel pressure riser, fuel pump. Still need to purchase an AEM wideband, the piggyback and a tune.

The Gauge

Thanks for the compliment.

The red stripe on the wheel is not paint, its a pin stripe. Can be found at any local auto parts store.

Turbo kit is from a company called Turbo Specialties.

I'm not pushing any. I don't allow the car to build boost, as it hasn't been tuned yet. I've heard the blow off valve go off a few times only. Once I tune it, I'll let everyone know. It'll probably be in single digits

A few pics...

Very sleeperish; you can barely see the intercooler.

Just waiting on taxes to come in and it'll be tune time. Im looking to buy the following:
- AEM AFR
- AEM Boost Controller
- PnP AEM FIC or PnP Greddy E-manage Ultimate
- 3" inlet Exhaust

Im happy with the way it looks at the moment. IC and IC piping will be upgraded in the future. So I would like to leave it the way it is, so I'll have a chance to sell it quickly.

Installed the Walbro 255 and fuel pressure regulator. Just need to install the injectors, purchase the piggyback and wideband and it'll be ready for a tune. Just waiting on some funds to come in... Installed the boost gauge but for some reason it's not reading. Im sure the vaccum hose is pinched somewhere, but Im too tired. Calling it the night.

So, for the past few days I've been enjoying the ride. Rode to the Cupcake Meet 12 in Austin. It was a great turnout. I purchased the AEM Boost Controller(it was a deal I couldn't resist). Just waiting on some more funds so I can purchase the piggy back, wideband and tune. I'll probably hit up the SER's this weekend and put some more work in, perhaps get them on already...

Funny thing, my VCs are painted wrinkle black as well, did you throw yours in the oven to cook the paint?
