I was wondering when that guy would swing around. Polished aftermarket UIM and custom-made engine cover is unique stuff.

My old engine bay, 3.0, polished mevi, timing, valve cover and oil cap, painted mevi and coil pack cover, strut bar, injen short ram intake, nitrous and a custom battery tie down. Crazy to think this was back in 2008

Keem: Nice engine bay. Coming along nicely.

QT1 5MT AE (Mike): Love that pic. It's so clean it looks like the day the car was bought....uber clean and rust free. Now I know why you drove out to AZ to get it. Mad props. I miss your ol' engine bay as well; my own blood, sweat and tears went into helping install the FI in that bay.....

Requin6: Great engine bay as well. Love the mint MEVI cover. I like your blue theme too.

Simply v: Nice!! Very unique placement of BOV, and unique MAF setup. Got closeups of both? Could the MAF also been installed from the bottom? Is your charge piping heat coated, or simply powder coated grey? Either way, that's nice..Oh, I just noticed your piping from the TB to MAF is custom. Good job.

CustomLowz: Nice bay. If and when your battery dies, maybe swap it for a redtop Optima. You could get a nice red theme going.. What's up with that radiator cap? Never seen that before.

More comments to follow. Keep the pics coming!

Unfortunately, my time ran shorter than expected that day and had to cut my comments short... Still more to come.

Your bay is definitely an inspiration of sorts.

There it is! Thank you, sir.

I hate to think I powdercoated my water pipes for nothing.

I know right? how long has it been since? 4 years already ? wow

I really lucked out on the AE *knock on wood*. I merely saw several photos of it and it looked pretty clean and considering the fact that it had only 82k, AE, white on tan and 5mt at a steal of a price, i couldnt pass it up, specially since i had no car then. its been religously maintained and nearly flawless inside out. guess it was meant to be mine lol

ChrisMan287: Very original with the gold. Gold and red go pretty good together. Might have to change your name to Goldfinger though.

Aaron92SE: Mad props for stuffing that 3.5 into your 3rd gen. Nice work.

Rochester: Yours like it just came off the showroom floor as well. Really diggin' all the titanium bits. It's on my list of things to do to update all my hardware as well.

Greeny: Going for the sinister "everything black" look, eh? I like it.

Stillen Maxima: Nice install on your turbo setup. I'd like to recommend that you change out those worm clamps for some nice T-bolt clamps for consistency. Overall, great engine bay.

NissanTun3r: Nice photo. I'm really diggin' the color combo of that front valve cover.

aackshun: Failed, you have LOL

zero2sixtyz: Can't go wrong with a black and red theme! Looks good. The red hood pins tie in nicely too. Get those black caps like Rochester suggested. I now I'm gonna get some too.

Rochester: Got part number for those black caps? Thanks in advance.

1swtmax: Custom IM looks great. Oh and that turbo doesn't look too bad either.

aic96max: Good job on the 3.5 swap Nice hood prop too. hahaha

t6378tp: Your bay has come a long way. The grey/polished theme works well in your bay. Don't see polished timing covers too often.

tigersharkdudge: That is one crazy valve cover setup you have there; very unique. But why isn't your name Snakedude?

euromaxima: Killer engine bay. Very well put together. My favorite thing (besides the turbo of course) is the powdercoated charge pipes. This is just my opinion, but those diamond plated accent pieces around the bay don't add anything, only distract and don't fit in.

Keep posting the pics fellas!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/schmellyfart/6592536669/I'm pretty much done with the engine bay besides a 3.5" intake, possibly an SSIM, and the FSTB I haven't gotten around to reinstalling.

That UIM is absolutely gorgeous.

What is that analog gauge where the EVAP solenoid usually goes?

Why is the fuel rail purple? Is that intentional, or some kind of reflection?

And are you using a transparent hose for the VC blowback line to the intake? I've never seen anything like that before. That's pretty amazing.

I won't lie to you, I strongly dislike the blue paint job. But I sure do respect the details you're applying to the engine bay. It's beautiful.
