Nismo shift **** doesn't accommodate for the 6mt reverse lockout, so I made my own.
Weighs in at a mere 0.108 lbs.

I'd like to think I have rare parts. Some of you guys see this stuff on a daily basis. In my neck of the woods it's all few and far between. I don't see 4th gens too often.

I don't really have much one off stuff. Just lots of OEM and aftermarket parts. I'm trying stick with period correct parts where I can. I'm still going with a low key theme, nothing too flashy.

Last year I got nearly an all original V1 kit. I think it's rare.

I'm in the process of installing more OEM goodies. Specifically the auto climate control, heated seats, and mirrors.

Ahh, a SC'ed DE-K, that's a great combo! Must drive like a dream. I sometimes miss my old DE-K, they're so smooth compared to the 3.5.

Remind me once again what happened to your old car? Was it rust?

I got lucky, it is quite clean for a New England vehicle. I've cleaned and painted quite a bit of stuff under the hood to get it where it is.

The DE-K/00VI is an absolute must for any 95-99. World's better than stock and a few notches better than an MEVI. The SC is just stupid. It fell into my lap so to speak. It wasn't a goal or planned. It's just so noisy at idle it's almost embarrassing.. I haven't driven it since last fall. I'm starting to get the itch. My exhaust is holding it back big time.

My 98 had lots of rust. I did some patching for an inspection. In 2012 I bought a Frontier so I put the car on hiatus. I gave up after 2013.

The 99 was on CL Feb 2018 for super cheap. That March my girlfriend was crashed into which totalled her Altima. Call it fate? She drove my truck until we found her a JX35 that fall.

I was laughing at the Tracy Morgan clip. You’re a clown if you think I’m hating on caliper covers. It’s your car, do whatever makes you happy...I don’t give a sh*t

Hey, just wondering. Things get lost and or misunderstood when the actual voice is not heard. No need for the internet cussing.

We don't necessarily have anything against your covers, but they most surely do not qualify as being custom, fabricated, or rare, and hence do not belong in this thread. Same thing goes for your grille, it too appears to be an off the shelf piece that anyone can buy and doesn't really fit the nature of this thread. You're welcome to make your own thread in this section if you want to show off pictures of your car.

hmmmm. Calipers were custom made as well as the grille. If you would point me to covers on this site or anywhere like mine. Grille was custom made in Texas by a fabricator friend of mine. So while you may have seen similar this one was actually made by someone I know. Thanks for the typical feedback.

It's not lame, this just isn't the right thread. Like for example....

2nd Gen VQ35DE Block w/ 1st Gen VQ35DE Heads and 350z RevUp Cams

I am not sure anyone has done this, while i personally don't think it's special, it's certainly a rare combination of things (it's a oh **** I blew my motor unexpectedly, let me throw something together... motor build)

Or something custom....

True Dual exhaust on a 6th gen maxima..... Probably only have been done on the Maxima platform in general a handful of times, even less on the 6th gen.

Or just the straight up weird flex but ok bro stuff like...

Haltech piggy back units are rarely used on our cars, certainly nothing new for us... but the direct plug in play... I've never seen on a Maxima before.

I think this excerpt from the post above best describes this thread

Eventually it might get a 3.5 swap, but for now its just going to stay stock engine. I have 240sx money pit that needs finishing first.
