Hello from Arizona and have been a member for a lil while.Thought I'd finally do an intro. Couple months ago got a 02 Nissan Maxima Se had been searching for a car for a while and just was not liking anything I saw cause I new exactly that I wanted a Nissan Maxima. Parents have owned Nissan's as far as I can remember my dad still has his Datsun. I ran into a 02 maxima in craigslist from a private owner. Now mind you I am flying solo on all this cause I don't have anyone that knows enough to really help me out. Well he wanted 3 for it and I got him down to 2500.Did research on what to look for and it looked alright drove good. Only thing I was really unsure of was the 144000 miles on it so I still am unsure wether it was worth it. Well I am currently trying to learn how to do my own repairs and such on my car cause I hate going to the mechanic and always having a little part of me feeling uncomfortable that I don't know if I'm being taken advantage of. I don't know anyone who is even slightly knowledgeable in mechanics so it's either sink or swim now.Plus saves me a lot of money and gives me something to do with my son. I've learned a lot from maxima.org already. So far only thing I have done with my car is install a system with Panasonic touch screen stereo an amp and I infinity speaker nothing traumatic just something to start off with. I am currently just working on getting the car up to par on all the regular stuff and learning what and where everything is but eventually will be decking it out. I do have one major problem that I am concerned about though. Other then that I am very please I love Nissans and its so nice to be in something newer with a/c cause I have never owned anything newer them a 90 lol.
