Will these rims fit the 4th gen Maxima ?

Will the 16x7 SSR Type-Cs fit the bolt/offset pattern on the 4th gen? Ive been searching on the net and the .org (using the search function for some time ) trying to find the answer. I know the Maxima bolt pattern is 5x114.3mm and the stock offset is 40mm. Even with this knowledge I still cant find the answer, I know Tirerack.com sells the 17x7.5 SSR Type-Cs but they do not sell the 16x7s . I do not want to go above or below a 16" rim and I do not want to change the overall tire diameter by alot. Also I am still looking for some good tires (Good traction in the summer and in the rain and light weight) any suggestions ?

yeah with spacers most things will fit.. but it might look rediculous.. stick out 4 inches from your fender well or something like that....

It has to be a 5 lug 114.3 mm and offset probably between 36-42 or so.. might have a little bit of rubbing possibly depending on the width of the wheel and the tire size used.. but that is a little problem..

other offsets would not be good..

email tirerack and ask them
they have a nice technical support crew, those guys know their ****. I've bought 3 sets of tires from them already.

It's a waste $$$ to get 16X7 wheels. By going with bigger wheels, you will not change the overall diameter of the tire by "ALOT". Why? Lower profile tires.

If you mean having a lower profile by getting bigger rims and having a thinner (rubber band) tires, no way . The chances of ruining them are too great, One good ol' pot hole out where I live and the tires and rims are junked. I know all too well how it is too destroy tires with potholes from my first car , but those tires costed $60 a piece not like the $150 tires I have now. Also I dont care for 18" or 19" rims, it adds to much unsprung weight to the car; why dont I throw some concreate blocks in my trunk while im at it . Hey if I use bricks in my trunk some people might think its a lower spring mod . All in all I would rather have some light weight 16" rims wih some tire wrapped around them to give it a normal profile, enough said thats my $.02
