My universal Remus muffler wobbles and hits the stillen valance. The shop I went to says they can't do anything, and that it has to move, but I know it does not have to move as much as it does. Is there anything I can do myself? Do any of you guys know any shop in NYC area that puts aftermarket mufflers on with no wobble?

Get new hangers and put zip ties around them to limit the movement.

 

 

replaced all the hangers with shorter/thicker ones...no wobble...
I have asked my friends and they confirm that it sits solid, even over bumps. I've seen the same short/thick ones at PEP BOYS.
