Installed MEVI last night, track today...97mph traps

Nealoc187 and I installed my MEVI last night, went well except for a wrong vacuum system connection.

Took it for a test drive last night and DAMN am I impressed...the car just pulls...and pulls, and PULLS!

Went to the track today....ran a few 14.5s and the on my last run of the day, I ran a 14.4@97.2mph....with a 2.14 60ft. time.

I give the MEVI my stamp of approval.

oh yea....BTW....we have a video of one of Neal's runs that everyone here might like to see.....we'll post about that later tonight

We want to TRY and make the video available first...and THEN post about it....but we don't know if we can locate a firewire cable to connect my video camera to my computer.

You'll find out soon

Sweet!!! I guess you guys haven't read my dyno post in the 4th gen forum yet. I gained 53fwhp and 46fwtq at 6500rpms. No joke fellas, this thing works.

Thats not an impossible time at all.

I was able to click off a 2.104 on michelin XGT-V4's

Glad to heard of the raise in trap speed. I know there is going to be a n/a 4th Gen in the 13's before too long.

i have a strong feeling thats what neal did tonite.. his prev best was 14.1 .. and he got the ECU.. so if he had run 14.0 .. he would have posted already saying.. so close.. so close

wow your engine is making good power. do you run to the top of 3rd gear or do you shift into 4th at the end of the 1/4 mi?

I ran out third and hit the rev-limiter when my car was about halfway over the line....worked out kinda nice.

After watching Neal and Brian run with their VI's today I know this will be my next mod.
I had to leave early so I don't know if Neal go the 13.9 or not, He was awfully close when I left. I was in the lane next to him on his first run and made me look foolish.

Congrats on the 13.9. I had a feeling you would get there.
I am way to embaressed to post my 1/4 times, I need Tons of practice on my launch. I missed a gear almost every run
I think we had 6 or 7 org members with their cars, was pretty cool.
See ya soon

So Nealoc broke 13s?!

and is this without the ECU?

Just wondering how well you can do with all available Naturally aspirated mods...

OT- What about the GTP (Brian I think) who came out there with us. 14.0 1/4. Smaller pulley, intake, cat-back. That was pretty impressive!
