OK, so now I am planning to replace my starter motor 1995 Maxima, myself but it hit me that we bought Nissan's 100,000 mile top to bottom extended warrentee when we bought the car. If I replace the starter myself, does that invalidate the warrentee on anything besides the starter and perhaps the flywheel?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

If you have a warranty why don't you go to Nissan and have the work done?

Because the car is 50 miles from the nearest Nissan dealer. The cost of towing is prtetty close to the cost of the part and I can probably do the remove and replacement in a morning but could loose days getting the car towed to the dealer and repaired. We have also had problems getting the warrantee honored at dealerships other than the one at which we bought the car. At least that is what we are thinking.

Call

The Warranty you have might cover the towing cost their or you auto insurance might too. Call Dealerships and ask them about getting it honored.

P.S. I didn't know the started wouldn't work at all.
