I tried to take them out, but in the end I had to break the amber piece with a screwdriver. I then used pliers to remove the pieces I broke wiht the scredriver. Just be careful, but tey should come out.

just break off the black thin piece that goes around the amber piece with a needle nose or a regular pliar. then when thats out of the way just pull the amber pieces out with a needle nose pliar. thats how i did mine and i didn't break mine but then again i lost those little things oh well.

good luck,
rick

They are clear but there is an amber film that makes the bulb blink yellow or orange, one of those.

Wont breaking the amber piece out make your tailights really thin in that section? seems it would make the outer piece brital and alot more breakable.

No. The orange piece is on the inner side of the lense itself. After you break/take out the orange filter the turn signal section looks just like the reverse light area.
