Amber peice in rear turn signal....???

Amber peice in rear turn signal....???

hey guyz, i did a search but there were only threads talking about removing it none on how to specifically take them out w/out breaking them. How in the world do u get the little amber piece out of the rear turn signal part of the tailight on my '92 SE?? i cant seem to get it out...??

your rear turn signals have an amber cover??? aren't they clear stock....

I tried to take them out, but in the end I had to break the amber piece with a screwdriver. I then used pliers to remove the pieces I broke wiht the scredriver. Just be careful, but tey should come out.

just break off the black thin piece that goes around the amber piece with a needle nose or a regular pliar. then when thats out of the way just pull the amber pieces out with a needle nose pliar. thats how i did mine and i didn't break mine but then again i lost those little things oh well.

ehhh...i just broke 'em lol, i didnt care if i wantg amber again ill just throw amber bulbs back in...the hyperwhites look pretty cool tho.

They are clear but there is an amber film that makes the bulb blink yellow or orange, one of those.

Wont breaking the amber piece out make your tailights really thin in that section? seems it would make the outer piece brital and alot more breakable.

No. The orange piece is on the inner side of the lense itself. After you break/take out the orange filter the turn signal section looks just like the reverse light area.
