Hell yeah, since day one. It feels like there is a jiggle or something. The dealership said they couldn't duplicate it. I changed my springs and it was still there. I just bought tokicos which I will install sometime in the next two weeks hoping they will solve the problem. Others have had this problem as well, and it seems to go away with new shocks/struts.
...Have either of you guys gone in for the transverse link recall??? Check with your dealer and let them know you are exhibiting symptoms of this problem, it should be a free fix on 02/03. Check with the dealer regardless and let them know you KNOW there is a front transverse link recall in effect, or they will keep saying 'we can't duplicate' so they don't have to work on your car and spend money...
Damn dealers.
Damn dealers.
Well,
I have H&R springs and I have not changed my stock shocks/struts out yet, and sometimes they make noise. But it is very minimal. I would expect changing to Toks or KYb with a better damping rate may solve this, but it is very minor on my car and I would suggest that if you do install your new Toks and you still get a questionable noise, take it in for the recall anyway. Some people are having this recall done for free even if their VIN isn't in the range, and it is helping a lot of people...
Good luck.

This is probably not the case, but I read "a jingle" in one of the replies and i once posted a question about a jingle coming from the drivers front side area. I found out that it is a relay inside the fuse box that "jingles" when going over rough surfaces. I put a thin piece of styro-foam in-between it and the panel. It has gone away. You guys are talking about springs so this is probably not worth a crap.............
Does anyone else w/ 2k2-3's have this problem? I remember a while back (2-3 months ago) several people were complaining about it. It feel as if there id some play in the steering wheel as well as a small clunking sound over certain bumps.

Glad to know I'm not alone .. but not glad to know it's not an isolated incident that can be successfully and easily resolved.
Also, when I roll into my driveway, I can hear each of the back struts make noise that I don't notice on the TL-S or the E320.
How do I find out about whether my VIN number is included in the transverse link recall?
Thanks again
