i have a pioneer premier 740MP, the navigation on MP3 discs is a little slow. the JVC SH99 (i believe thats the model) has the best navigation i've seen, sounds just the same (when i heard it, there was no deck power being used so i couldnt really judge that).
with the premier, there are tons of options for tuning which i like.
hope this helps

P.S. this belongs in the audio forum.

I picked up a Pioneer DEH-P8400 (I think thats the model) at the end of the summer, and I love it. I've got absolutely no complaints about it, and even with the stock speakers, it sounded great.

One more thing, it plays MP3's and has a remote with built in amplifier and puts out 60wX4 real power.

And this isnt an audio forum

hows the navigation speed on MP3 discs? on my 740MP its pretty slow, like 5-10 seconds between songs.

60W peak
27 rms
but that is still some pretty good specs

I have the 7400MP which I like, cool display, fold down face, remote (I have the steering wheel remote for it), rotary volume ****, good specs
it does have a slight delay between mp3 tracks (3-4 seconds usually) but you get used to it; I still like it

Hmm...I didnt know that...hehe...I am a stereo idiot though! I guess with my set up the power will not even be used, since I am running a amp for the inside speakers.

Here are some more specs and a little bit better of a pic, the 7894 sells for $450 but I got it for $250(new) Thanks Dave!

Yeah, I know which one you are talking about...It hooks into a Nokia phone right? I was going to get that, cause Circuit City where John (thezcarguy) works was out of the 7894, but I called MaximaDave at Tweeters and he had the 7894. I didnt think the big face would fit right on mine, plus the 7894 had a few more options...

Any pics of the 7894 in your car? I am curious to see how it looks...Thanks.

i have the premier deh-840mp and i think it's one of the best cd players out for the money. it takes about 3-5 sec. to read an mp3 cd only right when u put it in... after it's in, the seeking time is barely noticable....
