ASP UDP tightening

ASP UDP tightening

OK i got my UDP on now how do i tighten it to 123 lb/ft. i have an automatic trans and it says to take some plate off my trans to stop the fly wheel from spinning. I saw craigs write up but hes got a 5 speed and i have an auto so its different. any help would be most appreciated or links. thanks, ohh and by the way, i got my Y today and thats goin on tomorrow

Yeah I know what you mean, I didnt know how to torque it properly either. I set my torque wrench on one of its lowest setting, and only allowed it to run for like two seconds. But all torque wrenches are different, so I used my best judgment for the setting and the duration.

there's an "inspection plate" on the side of the tranny. pull it off and you'll see the flex plate that has the gears for the starter on it. stick a big screwdriver in it to keep the thing from turning, then crank the pulley down.
