I have a Max from May 2000. Lately I have been hearing a ticking or clicking noise (it clicks 3 times at set intervals) when I turn the ignition. I don't have to start the car. Has any one experienced this or is there a service bulletin? I have 36500 miles on it.

 

I think mine does the same thing. It does it before you turn the engine on.

 

I hear it even after the engine is turned on. I am taking my car to the dealership and I'll check with them. Did you check with anyone about this problem?

 

Could be a dying solenoid on a starter motor...

 

I took it ot the dealer and it is due to the engine mounts failing. Nissan has a TSB on it.
NTB01-010 Buzzing Noise after engine is turned off.

They will have to replce both the mounts.
$471 includig labor.

This is my second problem in under 6months for which Nissan has TSBs.
