Just a 3.125".... not as brave as you folks...

Hopefully I won't need a new (larger) radiator if too much air is impeded with the FMIC.

After taking some stuff out, i discovered I have to rethink my IC piping

Some good news... my steel ASP tensioner pulley looks like it's in great condition.

an added extra

don't know how much you go to the dragstrip but for all you IC folks you probably know about NX's N-tercooler. to save about $200, check this site out
intercoolertechniques.com

an extra 65whp on a supra (I know turbos create more heat but still)

This was a sign to stop for the day...

The 8mm Allens came out pretty easy, it's the 7/32" ones that are tough... the first one broke my socket... gonna have to get "evil" on it tomorrow.

FYI, the "new" polymer idler pulley looked just fine as well and the fitment of the steel ASP idler is the same.

More pics later.

Argh... what a day.

Removing the four 7/32" allen heads from the assembly was a major pain. Destroyed 2 Snap-On allen sockets today and had to use a propane torch and cheater bar.

Grinding the S/C bracket center post, done.
Reassembly of the S/C and bracket with new '705 belt, done.
Installed new Power Steering belt, done. <<Major Pain>>
Resealed drain back plate, done.

Just waiting on the new lower radiator hose then I can change the coolant and put her back together.

I'll get there sooner or (looks like) later...

Brett - found out that i can't make a 90 deg bend straight down (there is a vertical part of the frame there) so I will try two 90 deg bends to run it down by the radiator. It's very tight there, especially since I will be using 2.75" piping.

That project is a while down the road... I just wanna get my car up and running now... maybe a baseline w/o FMIC on a dyno, too.

Go with rice juice... but make sure your injectors can give you adequate fuel.

I spoke to the man today Mardigrasmax, he told me how to do it. I am running very rich between 3-5100RPMs I know that for a fact, I can richen the mixture on the safc +10 from 3-5K spray it and see if it will utilize the fuel for a 25shot and move on to a 30 shot and I will be good to gain what I lost midrange like you said about the VI and hopefully I will gain @ least enough to get me to plus 300Lbs of Torque.

She's Alive!!!

Still using the 6:1 disc... a full boost run in 2nd and 3rd netted no detected knock on the J&S and 700C peak EGTs... hmmm.

I have some strange metallic like sound that comes and goes from either the new steel idler pulley or the S/C... still hunting that down.

Here's a better picture of the areas for grinding on the V2 bracket...

I went a little "evil" on the center post...
The lower part shows the cut lines but I hadn't popped off the portion that needs to be removed yet...

and the reason it needs to be ground down...

I know some SC max's are intercooled...but does anyone have actual before/after dyno or track numbers??? Post them please if you do. Or post the differences you felt after the install. if not, my setup should be done in a couple weeks so I'll post then.
Chunger, like kev said...get that thing in!
