special thanks to mad dhan for pioneering the clock mod, and geo1317 for directing me to cardomain..... i have posted some pictures up there, it should be my homepage.
before:
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...601_1_full.jpg
sometime in between the 5 hours:
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...601_3_full.jpg
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...601_8_full.jpg
after:
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...601_9_full.jpg

i posted the pics in chronological order on my webpage, so u can kinda tell how i took apart the bose head unit..... all screws and snaps to undo. okay, feel free to let me know what you guyz think. i, like mad dhan, also consider myself a perfectionist. i wuz extremely careful in doing this, and i ended up takin up 5+ hrs of mah nite to do this... probably my most frustrating mod, and i've installed mah on intake, y pipe, indiglo gauges, rewired corners... but this was just frustrating. i couldn't get the acc out, so i just changed that in the car, cuz i couldn't disconnect that black tube. i also had trouble with the ashtray, as the directions for removing the radio area said to slide the ashtray to the left after removing the screw... but it's a lot easier to jus pull straight back. okay, i'll stop typin, leave me your comments, questions, whatevs......thanks

Very hot. Was it time-consuming? How hard was it? I got rid of my Bose, so I couldn't do that to the Bose even if I wanted to

I like the blue better. Of course, that is just my opinion. To each their own.

ya, the clock and acc should dyi should be found in mad dhan's original thread. for the bose hu, jus remove the stereo head (i would give u a link but im not on my own comp and i don't remember the link). there are instructions of how to remove the bose headunit. once you get that out...... there are 4 screws which hold the head unit in the metal frame. take those out. next i think you can remove the whole face side just by pushing the tabs in. once you have the face removed, there are small screws which hold the chip board against the backside of the face. unscrew carefully, and pull it up...... and the vfd is right there. put on your cellophane and reassemble. go to the 2nd page of my website. i have a walk through (somewhat) on there and pictures. it's pretty easy to figure out. okay hope this helps.
