Another Maxima Appreciation Thread (kinda long) ...

A little over 2 weeks ago, my Max got smacked in the driver's door. Damaged the back edge of the front fender, the door and the front of the back door. Also scuffed the front wheel. No injuries, because it was a very low speed smack. Guy in a 91 Corsica made a left turn between stopped cars and got me while I was coming up in the right turn lane. He was at fault and his insurance is paying ($5500 plus rental car). The rental car is an 03 Camry (LE, 4 Cyl.). It is a fairly nice car, but it isn't my Maxima. It has quirks and handling is too soft for me. There is nothing about the Camry that would make me trade in the Maxima for one. Anyway, I have owned Max's since 1991 and have never been without them for more than 1 week at a time. I am really missing the Max and appreciate it so much more now. I can't wait to get it back. They are even going to fix the chips on the hood. This shop does very good work, so I'm sure it'll come out great. I know there have been a lot of threads like this, but I just wanted to add my comments and experience. The Maxima is really a nice car and mine has been virtually trouble free. Sorry for the length ...

Yeap... I've rented three different type of cars since I had my max when it was in the shop. Grand Prix, Candi, and Spyder... Each one of those cars were slow as ballz.. The only one that even compared was the cadi. But it was a boat. But I do miss the luxury comfort it had

While my car was in for warranty last week, the only rental avail was a '03 Focus. I was actually going into depression mode having to drive it and my GF only rode in it once and admitted she was actually embarrassed to be in it

Went on a business trip a few weeks ago through the midwest, from Dallas to Huntington, WV. Our rental was a new Dodge Intrepid. Over 1500 miles later...I was REALLY missing my Max! The Intrepid was nice, I guess, but just didn't drive the same at all. Very sluggish, and didn't handle that well. The interior was very plain, and it was hard to see out of compared to the Max. After a week, certainly a new appreciation for my Max!
