Don't ask me what exact model, as they all look the same, but by the end of second gear I was done as so was he. Why would anyone spend so much money for a box. Anyways, have a good nite.

My boss got an S40 last summer. It gets good gas mileage, and he likes it, but he claims it feels under-powered on the highway. Before the S40, he drove a 940 forever and a day. He likes the reliability and safety features on the car. That's why he got the S40...

A friend of mine who owns one told me they call them "Swedish Bricks". Go check out http://www.brickboard.com
They are broken down by series ie: 200,700,900 - FWD vs RWD
We just THINK were into our cars!

But alas, they are all pretty slow, except the S80... twin turbo V6 266HP, it will scoot!

we used to own a volvo 850 glt wagon 5spd manual...it was a 95 and just recently traded it in...after 5 years of ownership, we brought it in to get a routine checkup and they said our engine was about to blow...something in one of the cylindars...so my parents traded it in and got themselves a 2001 avalon...the volvos used to be boxes...now i kinda like them...they have a lot of nice features and since we owned one, we got a volvo magazine once in awhile and the most recent issue had one of the nicest prototype cars i've ever seen...inside and out...anyways, i don't know what it is w/ volvo and 5 cylinder transmissions...are they the only car company that does this?

Volvo's not the only one with 5-cylinders, Acura used to offer one in the Vigor, and later the 2.5 TL. My mom has a S70 GLT, I drive it sometimes when I'm not at college. Great car, handles like a dream. I love that car, and wish I could afford a used 850 or S70 Turbo. The ultimate sleeper...
