Looking at a Max... fair price?

Its a 98 Pearl White, GXE, 5spd. Has 58,000 miles. Black interior, cloth, no sunroof, has spoiler, steelies w/ hubcaps. Took it for a drive. Its been sitting for about 2 months. It started right up, and drove beautifully. The brakes weren't too great but I bet from sitting, the calipers were rusty.

Pros: 5 spd, low miles, spoiler, clean and no dents.
Cons: GXE, Cloth, no sunroof, black face gauges, no Alarm.

I have alloys from my 95 in my garage, so the steelies aren't a big deal. I do like a sunroof, but I can get over that. Alarm I can put in no problem. And I can get reverse indiglo's to fix the gauges.

Is this a good deal for $8999 ? It drove great, might need a clutch (not anytime soon though.)

Thanks All!!! hope to return again to the Maxima Scene

Its not a BAD deal, but I bet you can get the price down seeing that it doesnt have any options. Good luck.

8000 and i buy it today. i would even buy it for 8600. sounds good to me, and if you do the brake labour yourself its not expensive to fix up the brakes.

try talking him/her down to about $7500-$8000...push your luck..becuase there really isn't a market for manual transmission cars...they sell for lower due to that fact...use that in your favor.
