hi guys, i've been searching for a 5 speed max for almost a year now, and i came across one that might be traded in. the guy has it lowered, rims, int./exh. he told me it has eibach's with koni's, front and rear struts, rear sway bar, but other than that i'm not sure what brands everything else is. i'm going to look at it tomorrow, and if he decides to trade it in, he's going to ask about $11k. its a 97, i'm going to guess se with 76k miles. i was going to try and buy privately, and offer him $8k taking everything but the suspension out, b/c i would like to work on it myself. just give some opinions, or options. thanks, and sorry if you read the whole thing.

 

Remeber mods do not add value to a used car. Check www.edmunds.com for a fair price based on miles, location and condition.

 

i'm not trying to sound mean, but i know that mods don't add resale value. i think the owner MAY think that, but i'm not sure. my dad and i were going to look at a 5 speed se in new york, that had about the same miles, and on kbb, the wholesale price was about 6500, but i don't know what i'm going to do.
