altezza install probs

I just got the new altezzas from custom maxima and when installing them they dont seem to be fitting in 100% snugg im afraid that water will go in. Should i take the black padding out that is inbetween the screws? If i take it to the shop to be reinstalled how much would it cost me?

Did you get the gen II? If so what year is your max. I got mine from procarparts... GEN II for a 98 and it fits great. I'm not sure what black padding you are talking about...Mine came with white padding over the screws and I took them off.

They never do fit flush like the stock ones do. What you will have to do is screw them in as tight as you can and use a silicone sealant to go around the outside. That is what I had to do. I still have water though.
