Ebay Intake mod

I am feeling quite sceptical on this product but I didn't see anything on it in the FAQ.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2428035749

Praise : suprisingly this works, gonna get another for my 99 thanks
Praise : High Quality Product.By Putting Intake Mod In My Car, "I BURNT RUBBER" Very Good
Praise : Thanx so much! The intake mod really boosted my HP! Super fast shipment!!!!

The one complaint he got said
Complaint : It was a scam, a 35 cents resistor for over $10
Response by mikeag68 - descr. says RESISTOR, this is no scam item works if you use correctly. READ ALL!

So what is the deal with this thing if anyone knows?

I bought something like over ebay( just wanted to see if it would work)a couple of month ago promising 20+ hp . With the vague instruction and a mod that doesn't work, i really got scammed out of 30 dollars. It really sounds to good to be true and it still is. From one maxima owner to another "don't get it, please!"
I'm warning you right now!! DON"T BUY ANYTHING ELECTRONIC ON EBAY. IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you do decide to try it out you will feel like this:
