Does this get louder when turning to the side with the noise? I had my wheel bearing go out, the roar gets really loud eventually.

it may also be a an aneven worn tire or it culd be the bearing. I remember driving an older Accord with worn tires, and boy, they were loud (huming)...it made a lot of difference with other tires on it. So,if your tires are worn that may be one cause.

Its most likely the worn out tires you have.
See if they are unevenly worn at all. (More worn on the inside than the outside, bald spots, etc.) Signs of bad alignment.

Always get a second or third opinion. Make sure everyone says the same thing to protect you butt from BS.

It is unlikely that the axle is the problem unless the boot is leaking or cracked. I drove for almost a year with a torn boot and the axle didn't really have a stickyness about it. The bigger issue was the wheel hub bearing. Try to take it to a Nissan dealer to at least have them examine it, then maybe go somewhere else to have it repaired.

just had similar problem but mione sounded like that all the time. It was my front right bearings going out. I waited so long to repair it so it messed up my wheel hub had to get that replaced too.

Was it a humming sound that was rythmic with the spin of the wheels and almost sounded like rythimic wind or road noise?

the hub bearing is a metal on metal rubbing sound that is not necessarily constant, usually a half rotation occurance. you can usually feel it in the wheel and pedals. You know what, forget it...If something sounds weird, get it looked at. It seems as if a new thread about this is popping up twice a week. Read the previous threads as far back as you can tolerate.
