I took a Passat

Don't know which motor, but it was turbo 'cause I could hear his BOV when he was revvin' beside me wanting to race. Went from rolling 25-30, I pulled him slow. Then we went from a stop, I got a little jump on him right off and pulled him till about 80 when I could see he wasn't gaining. I had about 2-3 car lengths on him.

Automatic 1.8t Passats are pretty slow. Like 0-60 in 10 seconds. But the 5-spd manuals (autos are also 5-spd) are pretty quick. 0-60 in around 8 seconds. For 2001, the 1.8t has 20 extra hp (170hp), so expect mid 7's for 0-60 for manual Passats. That's enough to give an automatic Max a run for its money.
