Who has a G-Force/Technosquare ECU ? Thoughts or reviews !

Im fixing to send my ecu off to gforce and wanted to hear from other maxima owners that got this upgrade !

Would like to hear opinions and thoughts on:

1. Power Increase versus Stock ECU

2. Any problems ?

3. Butt Dynos, 1/4 mile track test, dynos ?

I will be doing the JWT ECU upgrade at a later time, but need this upgrade soon !

Thanks in advance just looking for any and all info !

Why do the JWT upgrade later? Its been proven to have better gains than the Gforce ecu, plus you get that extended rev limiter.

well, it could knock him from a 20.3 to a 20.19 it wont necessarily apply to all cars. i think you should just get JWT first instead of buying one then the other

I read that the GForce had more aggressive tuning than the JWT. I guess we need to see dynos of both.

same here deezo, iread that Gforece was a better ecu. only downside was not having a high rev limiter like the JWT

and that Gforce made for low end/mid range power then hte JWT

im not sure that i will dyno, but i will test it at the track and report my times etc. ! im excited about the ecu and while the jwt seems to be the most popular, im going with the gforce because 2 months is more than im willing to wait at present time.

he didn't say it would, he just posted what it did for his.

however to prove it actually helps you need dynos

Fontana, CA sucks! G-Force ECU rules!
pretty good times.. any idea what altitude and how hot? Have you run your car at sea level on a cool night?

Where do you send it to and what's the best price for it?

I know in JWT's case... it is cheaper to go through Avalon Racing than through JWT directly. I've been waiting for over 2 months now but that is another story...

I think the GForce is a good ECU, but if you are planning on getting a JWT later why not just do it now...?

Also here's a little tidbit of information I came across yesterday at the track from Brian (BEJAY1) who used to have the GForce... there are 2 programs available. The "Normal" upgrade and the "Cheston" upgrade which is optimized for slightly higher octane, and tuned a little bit more aggressively. I talked to JWT about this and JWT being lame as they are were simply like "our normal program will work fine..." and wouldn't give any consideration to the fact that they tune for 91 octane out in CA and I have access to 94 at the local gas stations.

Will 93 octane be compatible with the "cheston" G-Force ECU upgrade??

g-force ecu/technosquare ecu

I live very close to technosquare....torrance, CA and I went there so that I would have no down-time in shipping the ecu there and back....let me tell you, they really know there stuff!!! there professionalism and knowledge while I was there was only exemplified when I turned on my car and smashed out for the very first time after ecu install and mod...this thing flat-out hauls major a$$ when you hit 4K especially....definitely worth it...just call them and ask for Danny....then mention you are a friend of "Cheston" or "Michael (guy who came in with a black maxima and was impossible to get it out of the car)"....then you can pick this ecu up for only $380.....

Have Fun!

Don't worry for long. I'm working with GForce and Cheston as we speak on the rev limiter issue. I sent an 96 ECU out there to Cali so they can work on it but it might take a little time.

Have you heard of anyone not passing the smog test here in California with either a Technosquare (G-Force) ecu or JWT? I might just make good on your suggestion and just drive up there and get it done the same day. I live in San Diego, and don't mind the drive. My wife has family we can visit up there too. JWT is less than 15 minutes from my house but if I can save some money that will be great. From what I read here on the org there is no major difference for those of us who are not getting a MEVI.

Hopefully you will get it soon

I actually called their shop a few months back, they told me that since I live here in San Diego I could just drive to their shop, and they would swap out my ECU themselves and put it one of their modified ones . I don't know why they take so long with their ECU's to be shipped, they told me to come by when I am ready and they would swap them.

This will be my next mod. Just trying to decide on which ECU to get.
