Hey, i'm a noob to all this modifying car stuff. I was wondering, how can you tell if your car is 5spd or 6? is 1 stick and the other auto or something? Another thing is, how easy is it to install mods? i.e cold air intake, angel eye headlights, dash kit ect ect....sorry for such dumb questions but hey, everyone starts somewhere don't they? If you have a manual Maxima thats 2k-2k1, its a 5 speed. If its a manual Maxima thats 2k2-2k3 , its a 6 speed. Its the number of gears the manual tranny has. If you have an automatic Maxima, it only has 4 gears. Some mods are easier to install than others, but from your questions Im going to assume you dont have a lot of mechanical knowledge. Intakes take about 30 minuites or so to install.... but you might just want to pay someone, or have a local Org member help you.

you really really should consider installing some of the stuff on your own. If you can turn a wrench you can install an intake.

if you install mods on your own it gives great pride. i have already started modifing my car i have so far my h4 headlight,h3 fog bulbs,chrome gauge rings, chrome/carbon fiber levoc shifter and chrome maxima door sills. im still waiting for my momo ebrake , and then the next big mod is injen cai. ill post pics when im done completely.
