Two days ago I ran my car at etown. I put my stock 15s on and pretty much striped the interior. The back seats, passenger seat, spare tire, jack and tools were all out. So I had to leave my car like this for a few days after the track night cause my seats and all were in my cousins house who went on a vacation. So anyway.....

I was on my way to school one morning(with my track-trim max hehe) and this young guy in a SLK 230 was revving at me at a red light. I say to myself, wait-there's no way in hell this guy has a chance cause I just ran a 14.7 @93 two days ago how the car is now. So he's up for a big surprise.

Light goes green and we both launch. That was definitely one of my best launches ever, maybe a 2.1 60'. So I leave the benz so easily in 1st and chirp second. By then, I had about 2cars on him. I nail 3rd and continue to walk, more like run away from this guy. hahahahaha.

So I finally shut it down and give him the ol hazard lights.haha. He passes me on the right and pretends like nothing ever happened. ****in spoiled ***** *** ****** ****er. Don't mess with Maximas *****!

That 230 has a 4 banger I believe, they aren't fast at all. Not an impressive kill at all, you should have wiped the floor with him and his mom. You should be ashamed for wasting your gas on such a p#ssy car.

Dont worry anything he has is better than anybody elses. His ford wannabe rims, his awesome sounding "one of a kind" perfect exhaust, his V1 blower which sounds so much better than anybody elses does, his "crotch rocket kills ", his "GM 3800 blower" project ,and not to mention how everybody at his "High School" thinks/knows his car is the best in the world. CLK230 has 6cylinders and nice torque curve...
I lined up with my friend once (he's got 2001 SLK 230) and he smoked me pretty bad . I didn't want to beat up on my maxi that night - than I got pulled over by cop - but he gave me warning only.
next time i will race him will be on the track only.

 

I always thought the 230 stood for engine displacement which would mean 2.3L? I always thought the CLK320 was the 3.2L V6...

carstats.com has the 97 slk230 as 0-60=6.9 and 1/4 in 15.2. Thats believable(sp lol) considering I had about 5cars on him by the end of 3rd, which is pretty much a 1/4 mile. thats .5 seconds behind

good to have 5 speed , If my maxi was 5 speed I would have walked all over his new " benz"
but i still have respect for my original 97 SE tranny with 130K and no repairs so far ..... - no other 5speed can match that reliability.

 

Those are the races I love, walking some rich guy who thinks his car is the fastest thing in the world makes me smile, good job. It's actually the sole reason I am strongly considering a nitrous kit.

yes I would most likely loose to a clk 430 but I have to say I beat a newer sl500 a while ago. I didn't kill him but we were neck to neck untill the 3rd gear when I pulled about half a car. no bs. This is another example of a rich ***** that thinks his $80,000 car rules the streets.

By the way, newer sl500 has a v8 making 302hp but they weight close to 5,000 lbs!
