K&N intake ??? concerning resetting ECU
I just installed a K&N cone intake on my 96 SE 5 speed, do I need to reset the ECU? and how do I go about doing that. My car is bone stock other than the new K&N. Thanks. Any local maxima guys around San Jose?

just put it close to teh filter or sick it in one of the filter grooves.. your ecu will learn it on its own.. but u can alwasy reset if you want..just disconnect battery for 30 mins.. or u can turn the ecu reset *** twice.. its by you gas foot behind a plastic plate.
My check engine light just went on, do I have to get it turned off at the dealer? (my friend works there) or can I get it to go off another way? I replugged the temp sensor back on, and that is when the check engine light went on

if i am not mistaken, the 4th gen air temp sensor is bolted onto the air box. make sure you unbolt and i would suggest zip tying it close to the filter so it can receive as accurate measurements as possible. i know the maf will stay in its original location but i am unsure if there are any additional sensors in a 4th gen that would affect your intake install.
i put my air temp sensor inside my K&N filter... never had a problem with it like that for almost 2 yrs now
