abs and funny parking brake problem fixes itself?

Today, I went out and when I started my 95 GXE, the ABS light was on, and the parking brake felt very loose on the way up. I tested, and the parking brake was working, but sure enough, the ABS was not. I then turned off the car and restareted it to find my E brake working fine and the ABS light off and in working condition. Any takes on this? I am mystified to say the least.

I would have to take a guess that gremlins hiding in your dash and under your car. My suggestion would be not to feed them after midnight or get them wet. Don't know what happened but it happens to a friends 00 accord in the winter a couple times a year. Sometimes he has to restart it a few times and release the ebrake before he starts it. Nick

i was at a checkers drive thru and got stock and was spinning like crazy getting massive snow build up and my ABS light came on as well. I went back to work (didnt get to test it out) and few hours later when i get ready to get home, ABS light still on but after a few minutes of driving it goes off. I then test the ABS and it seems to be working fine. Could be snow build up thats confusing the ABS? very strange but mine is working properly.

Well we just got about 2 feet of snow up here, so I would guess that it has something to do with the snow. Thanks for the feedback!

same thing happened to me, its just from spinning the tires real fast and the car not moving anywhere, as long as it goes away fairly quick you dont have a problem
