I have been noticing that when i push my max to around 110 to around 115....

I start to smell a burning smell....never done that b4.....

It kinda smells like a match was lit behind my dash, its not a blinding smoke like im hotboxing my car or anything but it smells funky... i cant figure what it is...any sugestions?

 

5spd or auto?

 

I also have the same problem. Sometimes when I push my car I get the same burning smell. I think it may be an oil leak because I recently checked my oil level and it was low. NOt sure. Luckily my car is still under warrant so ima go get it checked out. Lata

 

yup same here...anytime I floor it I get the burning matches smell.

 

if 5-speed: glazed clutch?
I think I had this and it smelled for a few weeks...
smelled kind of like electrical smoke but not really

an oil leak?....im not much of a mechanic but i dont think it smells like burning oil....thats a lil more of a stench than a minor odor....maybe not?

That and i park in my garage every night...never have i ONCE.... seen a microgram of oil drop on that concrete....my pontiac....that was a different story LOL!!!!
