Are you sure, because I have a GXE and it came with that box. All I had to do, was buy a remote and program it.

i think it's under one of the seats... not sure though. do you have the little red security light on your dash? if so, just get a remote and try to program it; worth a try.

p.s. just don't go to the dealership to program it, they'll rape you.

If your GXE doesn't have the security light near the steering wheel...you can't use the keyless entry remote. You need the the "Security and Comfort Package" in order for it to work. Since you don't have the Security Light, thus you cannot use the keyless entry remote.

Getting the security light was pointless, that's no going to do any good. I'm sure theres a lot of wires that go into the "security and comfort" package. And I'm not sure if anyone on this board has done added the package who never had it. I'm sure there's a lot of work involved and my advice to you would be just to buy an aftermarket keyless entry remote and install it.

For starters - , and try some capitals and correct spelling while you are at it.

By keyless entry box do you mean the remote or the relay that plugs into the trunk? According to Daniel B. Martin in the thread I linked to above if you have a relay plugged into the brown connector in the trunk then all you need to do is get a remote.

I don't know if simply pluging the relay into the brown connector will give you factory keyless entry though. It could be that the presence of the relay means there is other stuff that you can't see in the car.

Here is my trunk with aftermarket power trunk release (I know it's ugly, but it works). You can see the brown plug for the stock keyless entry is taped up so I do not have it. However my aftermaret alarm has keless entry.
