What's a good leather cleaner?
i bought my car back 7 months ago, 95 with leather, anyway, the seat is filthy, its tan leather and its just noticably dirty. I used Meguairs Leather Care with mixed results, took some of the dirt off, wondering what i should do so it looks good again.
I myself use some stuff called "Hide Food". It's used by Rolls Royce and Bentley dealers. It has a leather smell to it and it cleans really well. I bought mine online somewhere, if you want to try some just do a google search for Hide Food and you should get some hits.

Medallion Leather Care might be an okay product, but like any "one step" product, it doesn't do either job great.
What you should try is a dedicated leather cleaner, like from Lexol or Mothers (or several other companies as well) and clean your interior with a microfiber cloth or sponge to really scrub it well.
At the very worst, if you can't get the dirt out, try the mail order Leatherique
Gliptone leather cleaner and their conditioner, they leave the leather with a nice clean leather smell and it keeps it looking new. I have a few bottles left from my group deal if your interested.
pictures of what? leather or the bottles? they are 8 fl. oz. each, you dont use much products each application so it tends to last for a while. they go for about 6-7 dollars each in stores, but ill sell them for $15 shipped
I also have two bottles where the labels were damaged from water but the product is still goo Ill throw those two in for $20 shipped

You know what? I do have a leather cleaner and conditioner! I totally forgot about them. I don't know how much I have left but if I don't have much left, I'll buy some more.
Question about body gloss. It's suppose to go after wax right? Do you spray the BG, rub it on and wipe it off?

yeah you can use it in between waxes too, its like quick detailer, you can spray it on the cloth or right on the car then wipe till its gone.

ok....lets see....I bought zymol's, 2 different meguiar's, lexol, turtle wax, ummm
others i can't think of right now
but yeah i spent a good $60 or so
basically, I dont have leather anymore but the steering wheel is and for me I find the wheel dries out (I have dry skin-no oils in my hands) so I like to lubricate it...
either the other stuff didn't lubricate ****, was oily, greasy or just plain worthless
one of them (i think turtlewax) was soo slippery i almost lost control of my wheel on a few occasions
w/o a doubt, lexol was smooth, yet grippy
others i can't think of right now

so you didnt really try all of them? Im not trying to be and as$ but when you make open statements like that, mabey you can try to be more specific, because you havent tried every leather conditioner, but the lexol worked best out of the few you tried.
The point of leather conditioners or cleaner/conditioners isn't to lubricate or make anything slippery....
Another one to consider is Zaino's leather cleaner and leather conditioner. They've gotten good reviews too, and the conditioner is also leather-scented (they call it "Leather in a Bottle"
).

I've bought EVERY leather conditioner available in my local pep boys and auto barn stores...trust me I visit both stores weekly (my g/f thinks im nuts but thats another issue
)when I see a new product I ****** it up. I originally ran out of lexol which was my reasoning for trying other products but none stood up to lexol in terms of quality
buy what you want, I just stated my opinion based on MY OWN testing

that mothers is the worst smells like coconut or pinapple and its so shinny has anybody tried pinnacle leather conditioner smells real good ($25)but lexol does good job on maintaining leather i buy it by the 3 liter bottle
In a nutshell, your best bet would be Leatherique. The reason I say that is you need something to restore the natural oils and luster to the leather.
I also have a gut feeling that the previous owner may not have used the best means to clean and/or maintain the leather. After using the Leatherique to restore it, then use the Lexol to maintain it.
