This morning when I started the car, the emergency brake light stayed on. After driving a lil, the light went off, and then, a few hours later, it came back on then 10 minutes later, it went off again...The last time the light stayed on, I added some brake fluids and it went off but that was only 2 months ago. Why does it stay on again?

 

it could be an alternator problem. i had the same thing happen to me when mine was goin to go.

 

Before you start checking complicated things like the alternator you might want to check the brake fluid reservoir and see if the level is low.

I had the same issue earlier in the winter, I assumed something was frezing the rear calipers, but it was just the fluid level getting near the low line on the reservoir. I added some fluid and I the light has been gone since then.
